Green Trials is led by Dr. Peter Silverstone. He has worked in clinical trials for over 25 years, and has a long track record in research, and has published over 130 peer-reviewed articles. He is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Alberta.
He runs a website focused on reducing stigma in those who have mental health issues, and further information is available at www.shrinkwrapped.ca
Other team members include many with long experience in all aspects of clinical trials.
Green Trials aims to be the premier provider of independent clinical trials results, helping both consumers and medical personal identify the most appropriate marijuana strain for each individual seeking medical marijuana.
Why Is Green In Orange?
Green Trials uses cognitive approaches to help clarify the safety of various strains of medical marijuana. Our name and logo reflect this by using the so-called “Stroop Effect”. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stroop_effect)
In this the words describing a specific colour, such as red, are actually filled with a different colour. This requires specific additional brain processing time, and it is a widely used approach in cognitive testing.
Having the word Green in a different colour, in our case orange, is a subtle way to pay homage to all of the key cognitive insights gained by many generations of dedicated researchers. It is these developments that allows Green Trials to offer insights into the cognitive safety of specific strains of medical marijuana.
